Granola

Rolled Oats (Not instant) - 8 c.
Flax Seed (Milled) - 1 c.
Seeds (Sunflower, Walnuts, Pecans, etc) - 2-3 c. total 
Honey - 3/4 c. 
Syrup - 1/4 - 1/2 c.
Brown Sugar - 1 c. packed
Salt - 1/4 tsp.
Cinnamon - 1 tbs.
Olive Oil or Canola - 1/2 c.
Dried Berries - 2 c. total
Chocolate Chips - 1 c. 

Preheat oven to 275F.
In a saucepan, add honey, syrup, oil, salt, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Dissolve sugar.

Combine all other ingredients in a large bowl except for the berries and chocolate. Mix thoroughly then add in the honey mixture. Mix well and add to a large, greased sheet pan. Bake for 40 minutes total, stirring every 10 minutes so the granola browns evenly. Let cool completely and add the chocolate chips and berries. Store in the refrigerator.

Baked Stuffed Bell Peppers

Green Bell Peppers - 3, 1/2 in. of the top removed
Cooked Brown Rice - 2 c. 
Diced Onion - 1/2 medium
Diced Mushroom - 1 large
Olive Oil 
Diced Tomatoes with Chilies - 1 can, reserve juice
Hot Sauce
Jalapeno Slices - 1/2 c.
Garlic Powder
Celery Salt
Garlic Powder
Paprika
Red Chilli Powder

Preheat oven to 350F.
Saute mushroom in olive oil, 5 minutes, then add onion 'til clear. Add spices and let them become fragrant. Add tomatoes, without the juice, hot sauce, and jalapenos. Add rice, mix, cook until warmed through. Stuff peppers and bake for 40 minutes, covered.

Healthier Brownies

Butter - 1/2 c. melted
Olive Oil - 1/3 c.
Fresh Spinach - 2 handfuls
Unrefined Sugar - 3/4 c.
Flour (white or whole wheat) - 2/3 c.
Cocoa - 1/2 c. 
Baking Soda - 1/2 tsp.
Salt - Dash
Vanilla - 1 tsp.
Eggs - 2

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. 
Combine the oil and spinach in a blender and blend until the spinach is in very small pieces.

Whisk together all of the dry ingredients into a large bowl, then add the eggs and wet ingredients. Whisk to combine. Pour into a 9x9 baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes.

Laundry Detergent

This yields one and a half gallons of detergent.
  
Baking soda or Washing Soda - 1/2 cup
Bar Soap - 1/2 bar, shaved
Borax - 1/2 c. [optional]
Water - 1 and 1/4 gallon
Bucket or plastic laundry detergent container
  
If you use Baking Soda, you have to bake it at 400 degrees F for about two hours for it to become washing soda. 

Boil one half gallon of water and dissolve the soap shavings into it. Meanwhile, fill your container with the rest of the water-hot tap water. Dissolve the washing soda into it.
  
Combine the two mixtures, cover, and let sit for 24 hours.
